Laurie Ehrlich, MBA

Co-Founder, ThriveHive

Laurie was the Director of Marketing and Communications at Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Washington, D.C., when she met Director of Admissions, Miriam Posner Stein. They soon discovered how marketing and admissions could collaborate to grow the enrollment funnel and how strong internal relationships helped retain both faculty and students. After working at the school together for more than seven years, they decided to create ThriveHive, an independent school consulting firm dedicated to integrated enrollment, marketing, branding research, and strategic planning.

At ThriveHive, Laurie creates and implements campaigns that compel people to act. She brings to the table a data-driven mindset combined with multi-channel marketing strategy, content creation, cross-team collaboration, corporate communications, and digital media expertise. She loves sharing her passion for marketing with others. Laurie is a seven-time judge for the annual InspiredSM Brilliance Awards, participates on multiple marketing and communications lay committees, and has presented in numerous education-focused conferences and webinars.

Laurie holds an MBA in Media and Communications Management from Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business and a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Maryland. She and her husband live in the D.C. ‘burbs with their two boys who have boundless energy and are begging for a dog.
