As the founder of Grassroots Unwired, Russ has spent the last 13 years focused on how to build mobile tools that help nonprofit organizations advance and fund their missions. Russ came to the world of nonprofit technology after a 15-year career working on grassroots political campaigns and advocacy for a wide range of progressive candidates and organizations. At a time when he was unable to find technology to meet the needs of the types of organizing he was working on, Grassroots Unwired was born. Since its inception, Grassroots Unwired has been creating tools on the cutting edge of nonprofit technology—supporting a wide range of solutions for canvassing, fundraising, advocacy and peer to peer events. Russ attended The American University in Washington, DC and lives in suburban Philadelphia.
