Enhancing End-of-Year Fundraising with Non-Cash Gifts

Welcome to another episode of the ENGAGE podcast, where we dive into using non-cash gifts to improve your end-of-year fundraising strategies. Today’s episode features a conversation between our host Dan Keyworth and Patrick Schmitt, co-founder and CEO of Freewill.

Patrick shares the success around the Cure Blindness Project, which significantly boosted end-of-year fundraising by incorporating non-cash donations like qualified charitable distributions, cryptocurrency, donor advised funds, and stock into their campaigns. With simple additions to their website and donor communication, they raised an additional $700,000 from existing donors. This demonstrates that changing the way people give can substantially increase donation sizes without needing new donors.

Hear Patrick’s tips on incorporating non-cash gifts into your strategic planning on ENGAGE.
