Adriana Cosgriff

Founder and CEO of Capacita

Adriana Dolgetta Cosgriff is the Founder and CEO of Capacita, a mission-driven consulting firm. Through Capacita, she and her team help nonprofits, funders, and other social impact organizations remove barriers and reach new heights through capacity building, grants strategy, leadership coaching, and facilitation. She is a graduate of Harvard College where she concentrated in organizational psychology, graduated cum laude from Boston College Law School, holds a Top Secret United States security clearance, and is a member in good standing of the NY State Bar. Her expertise is in implementing structural reforms around the world, with eleven years as a supervisory foreign affairs officer, foreign assistance program manager, and leader of diverse international teams for the U.S. Department of State. At the Department, she managed criminal justice policy, teams, and programs for Afghanistan, Ukraine, and the Caribbean, and was responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in justice-focused foreign assistance programs. This included serving as a federal grantmaker, designing, selecting, monitoring, and evaluating tens of millions of dollars in high profile grant awards. She later was tapped to lead innovative reforms for the Dept’s 80,000+ person workforce as part of the Director General of the Foreign Service’s front office Innovation Unit. She began her career in New York City as a strategy and fundraising consultant for international organizations and nonprofits, and has dedicated her career to the nonprofit, public interest, and mission-oriented space.
