Peter Panepento is managing partner at Turn Two, a strategy and communications firm that helps foundations and mission-driven organizations build trust with the audiences who matter most. He is a leader of the Community Foundation Alliance Infrastructure Fund, a shared infrastructure initiative that puts principles-based strategy at the center of how community foundations use and develop AI.
Peter began his career as a journalist, including more than a decade covering the nonprofit and foundation world at The Chronicle of Philanthropy, where he managed its online and social-media presence, developed cutting-edge research and data projects such as How America Gives, and launched its webinar series. Today, he helps organizations such as the Community Foundation Public Awareness Initiative, New York Community Trust, One Warm Coat, Greater Washington Community Foundation, America’s Charities, and the Southeastern Council of Foundations get their stories told in the media and create compelling content. He is co-author of Modern Media Relations for Nonprofits: Creating an Effective PR Strategy for Today’s World. He writes and speaks regularly about public relations and communications and is a regular contributor to Nonprofit Marketing Guide. He also serves as chairman of the board at the Community Foundation of Howard County.
