Austin Ewachiw
Director of Technology at Calvert Hall College High School
Austin Ewachiw (pronounced EE-Wok-Que) is the Director of Technology at Calvert Hall College High School in Baltimore, MD, his alma mater. He returned to Calvert in 2006 when the school’s digital infrastructure needs were rapidly evolving. Recognizing his colleagues' challenges with disparate, disconnected software, Austin became the project lead for the school’s adoption of Blackbaud’s Total School Solution, which consolidated education, fundraising, and accounting systems across campus. Austin’s team is now responsible for all data management, cyber security, software integrations, and digital compliance at the school.
As a former network engineer, Austin is an advocate for innovation and a proponent of thoughtful change management. He champions those causes in his school and as part of Blackbaud’s K–12 Advisory Board and was named Executive Director in December 2024.
Austin has a BS in Mathematics, a minor in Philosophy, and completed graduate-level educational technology coursework at Loyola University Maryland. He and his wife Bryna have a home in Lutherville, MD. They enjoy travelling to warmer climates and have taken up pickleball. You can connect with him on LinkedIn.
