Claire Williams Diaz talks Hope140, T.W.E.E.T. and her Passion to Change the World
Meet Claire. She leads social innovation, philanthropy, and causes at Twitter and Blogs at Claire.us.com. This year she joined a few of us for the Ignite Panel at Blackbaud’s conference where we talked about how social media is helping non-profits change the world.
After our panel I got a few minutes to talk to Claire about her work at Twitter and how non-profits can use the information network for good. Check out the video.
Hope 140 — @hope140
In our brief time together Claire mentioned one of the core values at Twitter – “Being a force for good”. Hope140’s aim is to do just that. Non-profits like Room to Read are benefiting from the program by promoting International Literacy Day in partnership with Twitter.
Want to be featured? Read our case studies on how other non-profits are using Twitter and let us know you’d like to learn more about the program! Make sure to ask about “promoted Tweets” while your at it.
T.W.E.E.T.
If you’re thinking about using Twitter or trying to figure out how to use the information network in a meaningful way then Claire has a simple strategy for you — T.W.E.E.T. Rather than trying to write it out it thought I’d point you to the graphic blog post or Cartoon by Rob Cottingham of Social Signal … I found it on Beth’s Blog where she recapped her time at Blog World Expo 2010.
